Copycat Wendy’s Frosty

You will not BELIEVE how easy it is to make a Copycat Wendy’s Frosty! But today I will show you how. Sometimes we all crave some of our favorite fast food items, drinks and desserts. And who doesn’t love a classic Wendy’s chocolate frosty!?

With only a few ingredients, and a recipe that is foolproof you can slurp down this delicious chocolate drink in no time. Let’s get into it!

Equipment & Ingredients

When I was first creating this recipe and doing a bit of research I could not believe one of the ingredients. The frozen cool whip surprised me, but let me tell you it is one of the MOST IMPORTANT factors in this copycat Wendy’s frosty recipe. You will need:

  • Chocolate Milk
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • Cocoa Powder
  • Cool Whip Frozen Whipped Topping

As for the ingredients, the list is much shorter! Feel free to substitute with whatever you have on hand that can be used as a ice cream dish for when we freeze this later.

Blend the Chocolate

Take your blender and add all the ingredients at once; the cocoa powder, frozen cool whip, chocolate milk and sweetened condensed milk. I personally own a small NutriBullet Blender, so I did two smaller batches. If you have a larger blender, definitely combine everything all at once.

Blend completely until smooth. It will look like slightly thicker chocolate milk. We are more than halfway done with this Wendy’s frosty copycat recipe. I love a quick and simple dessert. Although we do need to wait a couple hours to actually enjoy!

Freeze It!

Pour the copycat Wendy’s frosty into a loaf pan or an ice cream freezer bowl. Place in the freezer. Now for the next three hours your need to stay around the house. Every 30 minutes you will take a whisk and mix the chocolate frosty mixture. you can do it straight in the freezer or pull it out and replace it to the cold afterwards. It may be a little tedious but this is how we achieve that perfect frosty consistency.

NOTE: This is the way I originally made the dessert. If you plan on making this before bed, feel free to let it freeze completely overnight. The next day, set it out on the counter for 5-10 minutes. Place back in your blender and you will also have the perfect copycat Wendy’s frosty consistency.

Enjoy the Copycat Wendy's Frosty

Serve this delicious treat in your favorite glass or cup. I quite literally could not stop eating this once I started. I live alone and the copycat Wendy’s frosty was gone within 2 days. Mind you this recipe makes 4 cups of this delicious masterpiece.
