The beauty of making a fresh lemonade from scratch is not just the flavor and sweetness being matched to your personal liking, but you will genuinely taste a difference in the naturalness of this drink. No worrying about the possible preservatives or unwanted additives of buying lemonade from the store!

Not only that, but this recipe will take you less than 30 minutes to whip up. Let’s jump right into what it takes to make this deliciously sweet cherry lemonade.

To make this cherry lemonade you will need these ingredients: 

  • Fresh Cherries
  • Fresh Lemons
  • Sugar
  • Water

As for the equipment, this is all you will need:

  • Saucepan/Pot
  • Fruit Squeezer
  • Strainer
  • Drink Pitcher
  • Serving Glasses

My favorite thing about creating new recipes is that I get to add my personal twist or change things based on my preferences. Don’t be shy to add a little more sugar or a little less if that is what you like. Even replace the sugar with honey or agave if that is more your style.

The only summer drink you will need that is simple, quick and super fresh. Make this cherry lemonade for any party or chill day by the pool with only 4 ingredients needed.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound fresh cherries

  • 1 1/4 cups white granulated sugar, divided

  • 7 cups water, divided

  • 1 1/2 cups fresh lemon juice

Directions

  • In a saucepan, add the fresh cherries, 1 cup of the sugar and 2 cups of the water. Place over medium heat, mix together and bring to a boil.
  • Place over medium heat, mix together and bring to a boil.
  • While that cools, squeeze your fresh lemon juice, straining out the seeds and pulp.
  • Take a pitcher to serve your cherry lemonade in.
  • Strain the cherry juice into the pitcher. Pour in the lemon juice, sugar and last 5 cups of water.
  • Stir together for 1 minute to incorporate all the ingredients thoroughly.
  • Add in extra slices of lemon and fresh cherries into the pitcher. Pour into glasses filled with ice and enjoy!
