1/2 cup unsalted butter, browned
1 cup white granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 tablespoons matcha powder
1 cup all purpose flour
1 cup white chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
- In a mixing bowl, add the browned butter. To do this brown the butter sticks in a saucepan until melted, it begins to smell nutty and browned pieces are forming at the bottom of the pan.
- Add the white sugar, brown sugar, salt and eggs in the bowl with the melted butter. Whisk together until combined.
- Then add in the vanilla extract and whisk again until incorporated.
- Pour in the flour and matcha powder. Use a rubber spatula to fold the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing until completely combined and the batter should now be a matcha green.
- Add the white chocolate chips and fold into the batter. Transfer into the prepared baking dish, spreading evenly. Top with a few extra white chocolate chips on top.
- Bake in the oven for 25-28 minutes or until the edges of the brownies just slightly begin to brown and the top is crinkly.
- Remove from the oven and allow to cool completely before cutting and serving!
