Ingredients
6 tablespoons butter, browned
10 cups mini marshmallows, divided
1/4 cup sweetened condensed milk
Green Food Dye
6 cups rice Krispy cereal
Green Sprinkles
Directions
- In a large pot, melt down the butter until browned and nutty.
- Then add sweetened condensed milk and mix until combined. Pour in the marshmallows while still over the medium and heat and allow to melt down completely.
- Add in as much green food dye, to reach your desired green color. Mix until no green streaks are left.
- Remove from the heat and immediately pour in all the rice Krispy treats. Use a large wooden spoon to mix and coat all the rice Krispies with the marshmallow mixture.
- Add in the other 2 cups of marshmallows and mix to distribute evenly. Set aside while you prepare the baking dish.
- In a 9x11 baking dish, butter with a stick so that the treats won't stick later on when cooled. Also butter the back of a large spoon to use to evenly press the rice Krispies into the dish.
- Pour the green rice Krispy treats into the prepared dish and evenly mold into the pan with the buttered spoon. To finish top with the green sprinkles.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let cool in the refrigerator for at least one hour before cutting and serving!
