Equipment & Ingredients
To make this strawberry frosty you will need these ingredients:
- Sweetened Condensed Milk
- Hershey’s Strawberry Syrup
- Cool Whip
- Milk
As for the equipment, the list is much shorter! You will just need:
- Blender
- Loaf Pan
- Whisk
Blend and Freeze Strawberry Frosty
- Preparation: All at once add the cool whip, strawberry syrup, sweetened condensed milk and regular milk into the blender.
- Blend: Mix on medium high speed until the mixture is completely blended.
- Freeze: Transfer this into the loaf pan and place in the freezer for three hours.
- Whisk: Every 30 minutes, go into the freezer and whisk the strawberry mixture, to blend it as it freezes, to make the perfect strawberry frosty texture.
After three hours you should have this type of consistency, perfect to replicate the Wendy’s limited edition frosty we all love. If you don’t want to whisk this mixture every 30 minutes for three hours, freeze over night, and let sit for 10 minutes to soften. Then cut and place pieces in a blender, blending until smooth.
Now, pour and serve these into a glass and enjoy this cold and delicious strawberry frosty.
- Strawberry Flavor: To perfect this frozen drink you want a delicious strawberry flavor. This is why I use Hershey’s strawberry syrup specifically, a brand that produces a deep, natural and satisfying flavor addition to this cool drink.
- Sweetness Factor: The sweetened condensed milk is the perfect addition of sweetness to this frosty recipe. It adds to the thick and creamy texture of this drink, seamlessly adding a sweet touch.
- Texture: The key to this strawberry frosty is the icy, slightly thick texture that isn’t exactly like a milkshake nor an Icee. This can only be achieved with the addition of cool whip, which is one of the most important ingredients to this recipe.
- Experimentation: My favorite think about this drink is the ability to easily substitute ingredients to create any flavor you want. If you want a vanilla frosty, omit the strawberry and add vanilla extract. Or you can add crushed Oreos for a crunchy bite to this strawberry frosty. Make the classic Wendy’s Chocolate Frosty, by substituting the base milk. You can check out that recipe here on my blog.

7 ounces sweetened condensed milk
1 cup strawberry sauce

- Mix it all together until combined. It will will look like a slightly thicker strawberry milk. Pour into an ice cream freezer bowl or a loaf pan and place in the freezer.
- Every 30 minutes, whisk or mix the strawberry mixture and place back in the freezer. Continue to mix every half an hour for 3 hours and this will create Wendy's frosty consistency.

Notes
- An alternative to this if you’re making the frosty at night is to just freeze it all overnight. The next day take it out of the freezer and let sit for 5-10 minutes and break and place in the blender. Blend until smooth and you will have the frosty consistency.
